S is for Silky Saturdays

It's a gorgeously crisp and sunny day on Cross Street; our favourite kind of weather. 

This is the season where every layer counts, so why not make each one luxurious and beautiful? 

Julianne are my top choice for simple yet versatile silks. Of course they're fantastic for evening attire, when I'm ready to change into 'something more comfortable' a Julianne slip makes you feel instantly luxurious when curling up beneath Egyptian cotton sheets. 

What I love about the Julianne silk pieces are they're also the perfect layer to incorporate into your outfit during the day time. Whether you're looking for a beautiful camisole to wear with jeans and or a slip to wear beneath a chunky jumper dress they tick all the boxes. What's even better is that along with classic black, nude and ivory a gorgeous new cobalt blue has arrived at the boudoir! What more could a girl want..

Five stars for Stella

I share a common love with many of my Tallulah ladies when it comes to the designers draped on the walls at the boudoir.. Stella McCartney is absolutely no different. 
Every season when her new collections arrive I fall in love with the beautiful colours and patterns. This season is no different, and we're lucky enough to have had two different collections arriving with in weeks of each other, both equally as gorgeous. 

I'm loving the black lace collection with the striped strap. It's a perfect mixing pot of sports luxe, sexy sheer lace and feminine detailing. I'm not usually a triangle bra kind of girl however this soft cup is perfection, spot on for wearing beneath a chunky knit throughout the chilly months we still have yet to endure. Practically the striped strap is a substantial width; a rarity in soft cup designs, I don't worry about the strap wiggling around across my back. 

The floral collection is the taste of spring we've all been waiting for. As much as I adore the rich, sensual darks throughout the festive period, when florals in the most stunning pastel tones start arriving it's always reason to get excited. The light weight tops and dresses in beautiful broderie anglaise and crochet are just around the corner! 
I can't help but think about summer holiday bookings..

The Perfect Python

It's always exciting when Tallulah receives a new collection from our beloved Chantelle. This time it's the most beautiful python print laced with champagne hues.

Whether it's your little secret underneath a dark cashmere jumper or peaking out from beneath a buttoned down silk shirt at cocktails this lingerie set is the perfect base layer to perk up any transitional spring outfit. 
As usual the bottom half of this set comes in Tallulah's favourite shapes, a brazilian, knicker and thong. The lace is beautifully positioned to flatter and leave you feeling feminine and sexy.
I adore the detailing on both the padded plunge and half cup. The attachment between the cups on padded plunge drops away creating the most gorgeously flattering lines and the lace on the half cup that's pictured above is just the right balance of super sheer and concealing. Chantelle doubles function with being aesthetically lovely which is always golden when choosing new additions to the lingerie draw. 

The only question on our lips is padded plunge or half cup?!

Winter Pale

Winter Pale has been one of my favourite trends throughout this chilly season. When the elements are misbehaving outdoors it's a chic alternative to wrapping up head to toe in black.
If you're going to try a new trend for the new year, don't let it be just a different shade of grey.. And if you're not ready to jump in with both feet donning your white skinny jeans and pale leather jacket why not test the waters with a gorgeous new lingerie set?

Aubade's Brazil Paradise is perfect for this. Coco, blush and ivory embroidery paired with wisps of soft lace creates an ultra sexy alternative to the ivory t-shirt bra.

When discussing luxurious lingerie the devil is very much always in the detail, this beautiful little set comes with a feather attachment, that can be removed for the practicalities for a simple grey t-shirt and re-attached when it's bed time and tickling is always welcome..

For all women out there who associate trying to find matching undies with your worst nightmare, the bodysuit is made for you. The other half will never ever get lost of left in a hotel suite! 

Above are my top three, Stella McCartney's Violet Body was a obvious choice as a stunning pop of colour to slip under any item of your wardrobe, the simple triangle cups and thick straps make it super comfortable for every occasion. 

Huit's lace insert body takes more of a 'for the boudoir' angle with sheer lace cups and sexy low back, but who says you can't wear it beneath your office attire an after six o'clock treat? 

And then we come to the Andres Sarda.. just look at it?! It's sheer, sexy and one of those pieces your life just isn't complete without. I received mine on Christmas day and it's definitely one of those pieces I wonder how I ever got through life without it.
Could be put to fantastic use on a rainy day, night and morning after..

'What Tallulah Did' is going on holiday

First things first, Tallulah would like to wish you all a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year! 

The boutique will be open on Christmas eve for all of your last minute treats then we will be closed until January the 8th - see you all in the New Year!

What Tallulah Did is taking a little break until the New Year. We haven't disappeared, just taking a momentary pause. We appreciate you're support this year and can't wait to get back online with all things Tallulah!

It's that time; new luxurious nipple tassels by HS Noir have arrived. Individually packaged in the 'little black dress' box equivalent, every detail is perfect.

It's always nice to have the cheeky bridal hearts that come around again and again back in stock, however, I'm loving the new darker tones. The simple silk in deep purple and black are stunningly simplistic making the gold and black jewelled tassels catch the eye with sparkle even more. 
The black lace version with rich regal blue and purple tones underneath are super sexy, and bring a whole new meaning to wearing lace in the boudoir..
